The Union of European Clubs travelled toSeville last week to attend the World Football Summit and used the opportunity to meet with clubs from LALIGA.
Javier Tebas Medrano, President of LALIGA, was also present at the meeting and said « ECA is not representing Europe’s clubs and is still under elite clubs’ control and dominion. Therefore, an alternative is needed. A different and democratic alternative that represents small, medium and big clubs.». UEC representatives presented their view on the current governance of European club football and the necessary changes to counter elitist reforms which negatively impact domestic leagues.
